Exploring authenticity within a world of constructed narratives, this series questions how advertising shapes what consumers desire and what we perceive to be “authentic”. Brands sell not just products, but fantasies—carefully curated to entice, often misrepresenting reality. Consumption fuels disconnection, distancing individuals from their true selves. Until challenges are faced directly, distraction through aesthetics remains a barrier to authenticity. By exposing the manipulation of images and language, this work highlights the cycle of unattainable desire that commodities create.
